Remote Controlled Construction Machines
Israel Aerospace Industries' Ramta Division, with team members InRob Ltd. (OTC BB:IRBL.OB) and Israel Tractors and Equipment, Ltd developed remote controlled construction machine. As a part of the robotic Mini-Cat program, the team developed a dedicated robotic control system to convert Caterpillar's Multi-Terrain Loader (MTL) type MTL 257 B (also known as the "MiniCat"), into an unmanned platform for use in military, para-military, law enforcement, and civilian operations. The vehicle has been integrated with a military-qualified robotic control system control system, developed by InRob into the MTL. The ergonomic remote control unit utilizing a tough touch screen, developed specifically for this platform, is providing the operator full control of typical complex tasks in real time. All the functions provided by the manned MTL 257 re enabled via remote control, including state of its scoop, health of the power pack, view from vehicle-mounted cameras, etc.
The new robotic MTL will fill the strong demand for a UGV of this type by performing a broad range of engineering and debris-clearing applications while providing customized solutions using the most advanced technology.
G-NIUS Unmanned Ground Systems shows Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Phoenix
G-NIUS Unmanned Ground Systems (UGS) Ltd., a joint venture of Elbit Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)announced that it was awarded a contract for the development of the next-generation UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) for the Israeli Defense Forces.
The vehicle is based on The Tags-CX (Tactical Amphibious Ground Support System – Common Experimental) vehicle is an example of a JAUS-compliant semiautonomous UGV. It is a joint project of Applied Perception Inc., Cranberry Township, Pa. (now a part of Qinetic North America), the U.S. Army's Tank-Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center, and Dumur Industries in Canada. Tags-CX is used for integrating and assessing new technologies. It can be outfitted with such options as a 15-ft telescoping mast, 2D laser rangefinder, 24-GHz radars, differential GPS, and FLIR cameras. Possible payloads include weapon modules, manual drive-by-wire, damage control, storage, and fuel. On the Tags-CX, JAUS promotes plug-and-play with a standard interface for controls and payloads

The company's Tactical Amphibious Ground Support vehicle weighs 3,400 pounds, can reach a speed of 25 miles per hour and is about the size of a compact car, with a flatbed top and tank-like treads that can be interchanged with tires.Northrop Grumman considered this platform for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Phoenix UGV
The next-generation UGV will offer improved autonomous mobility and operational performance. Additionally, the vehicle's navigation capabilities will be enhanced to include advanced control solutions. The new UGV will allow increased payload weight (up to 1 ton), in order to offer better situational awareness, autonomy and independent decision making. The features of the new UGV will enable higher operational flexibility extending the current performance into more challenging combat scenarios, providing combat support. It is more enhanced and heavy version of TAGS.
